| Minutes of Meeting | Project Title - Rotary CME Visit for orientation to Military Engineering. Executed Date : Sat, 27th April 2024 Beneficiaries and Impact: Over 400 Students from 10 Interact / Rotaract Clubs of Rotary District 3131 participated in this mammoth event . The aim was to motivate the GenNext with possible Career Options especially in The Technical Branches of Indian Army. The army today has opened up entry of girls and this was reflected in our participation too. The students showed a keen interest and took every opportunity to learn more by asking queries to the Army Instructors available.. Being a Military Set-up the entire visit was offered at zero cost to us. However the schools spent the expense on their transport to reach the venue at CME, Dapodi. Host: The event was entirely stage managed by the Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment. Actively engaged in the project execution were Rtn Maj (retd) Prince Paul (member of District PI Team) led by Club President Rtn Mazahir Nazir, and very ably supported by club director for Youth Services Rtn Tawhid Comtractor, Rtn Hema Pande and Ann Sherley Paul. The visit also saw some 80+ Rotarians from 7 different clubs in dist 3131 participate with all the keenness and eagerness. The CME management were candid in expressing that such a visit especially by the Rotary team was one of its kind. Needless to say, they too were keen to learn more about Rotary. The Rotarians, most of them in bright Club Rotary T-shirts added to the PI Quotient ! |
