| Minutes of Meeting | This was the first physical meeting with induction of new members. Having added 11 members in a satellite club members three weeks back it was now turn to add few more members to our club. 5 New members were inducted with oath ceremony - after due diligence and deliberation with recommended protocols incluidng home visit. Was a fun filled day with celebration for 15th August. SPORTS CITY CELEBRATES ROTARY MEMBERSHIP MONTH Rotary Club of Pune Sports City celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day inducting 5 new members and the chairperson of the Satellite Club of Pune Sports City Inspira, along with its 13 members. It was the first physical meeting for the club after 16 months of the pandemic. Members form the backbone of Rotary. President Kiran Rao is following RI President Shekhar Mehta’s Mantra of “Each One, Bring One”, taking our club towards its century mark. Club Membership Director Rtn Ajay Thorani gave his valuable views on membership. IPP Manojeet Chowdhury gave the new members their Rotary oath followed by self-introductions by the new Rotarians. Chief Guest District Membership Director Rtn Shital Shah’s address was inspirational for everyone present, followed by an interactive session with the new members. It was interesting to note the reasons why these new members joined Rotary – non- political and non-religious organization, provides platform for leadership and knowledge development, learning different skills from experienced members and making new friends while serving the needy. The enthusiasm and interest was very evident in the new members and this positive energy surely will take Sports City to greater heights. This special meeting was well planned and executed by the Club Admin Director Rtn Durgesh Gupta with support from his wife Jyoti and the club team. He proposed the vote of thanks, which was followed by a wonderful luncheon in the Sensory Garden of Bal Kalyan. |
