| Minutes of Meeting | On Thursday, 16th September, 2021, we had a very nice session titled “Bee You To Bee Happy” by Mr. Devendra Jani, Product Manager Of Amdocs Technology, at Poona Club. Mr. Jani, an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, is a climate reality leader, a TEDx speaker, an artist and also a volunteer at multiple nonprofit organizations, spoke about how the Bees impact our lives and strongly believes that Bees are to be loved and not to be feared. He said that many things we have learnt from the recent pandemic like social distancing, using vaccination to prevent infection by boosting immunity etc .... the bees have been practicing them since hundreds and thousands of years…. another amazing information was that the average life of a worker bee is approx. 40 days, whereas the Queen bee lives on for three years and lays eggs every day. It was a very well documented and informative speech, which gave us new insight about how the bees are responsible for maintaining the balance of the ecological system and help in producing the perfectly shaped fruits and vegetables... He strongly advocates that its best not to consume but keep the honey for the bees themselves. Creating awareness about bee-keeping, both in rural and urban population, will be an important task in the present scenario where the bees are being driven away to extinction due to enormous use of pesticide, chemical fertilisers and plastic cups. He is associated with many other environments related ecological issues and would like to create awareness in the society specially amongst children on these issues for the benefit of the future generation. Mr. Jani is the founder of “Bee – The lead “initiative where he shares life lessons we can learn from Bees and to change human behaviour towards Bees & join hands to build sustainable cities. Mr Jani answered many queries after his talk raised by the audience. He was introduced by Rtn. Dipti Bhosle and vote of thanks was proposed by Spouse Ulhas Bhosle |

| Minutes of Meeting | Meeting started with the National Anthem followed by 4 Way test President Rathnakar Shetty welcomed all the members and Anns to the meeting and gave brief speech on significance of todays meeting . He also gave brief on all the activities / meetings of the club held in last 75 days of the RY and also on the upcoming events Secretary Satish Deshchougule briefed on the meeting attendance details and also announced the birthdays / anniversaries . President Rathnakar requested each Director to present report on the activities , future plans etc for the information of club members . Members and all the Directors actively participated in the meeting. Members appreciated efforts of each director , the service projects been taken up and extended full support for all club activities . In the end President thanked all the members for their active participation and all the support extended for the Clubs service project. |
