Minutes of Meeting The meeting was an interesting confluence of the past (RY 20-2), present (RY 21-22) and future (RY 22-23). The objective of our AGM was to pass the audited and statutory accounts for FY/RY 2020-21 and do a mid-year review of our RCPD Accounts for RY 21- 22. President Asis Ray introducing our new board for RY 22-23. We then rewound to RY 20-21 which was indeed a unique year as we had no in person meetings. Our President for RY 20-21, Rtn. Phiroze Masters, outlined the unique challenges and the success we had despite the challenges. The audited statutory accounts were already shared in advance (via e-mail) with all members and they were passed by the AGM. Rtn. Shailendra Abhyankar (Treasurer for RY 20-21) then presented a simplified summary of our accounts. Key Highlights were as follows: • We received approx. INR 2.14 Crore in funds for community service. From this we spent over INR 1.74 Crore over 20 different projects to serve the community. Contributions from Global Grants was approx. INR 97 Lakh, CSR approx. 92 lakhs, Members/Individuals etc. over INR 25 lakhs • During RY 20-21, we received 2 new global grants for (approx. INR 74 Lakhs for Covid 19) and approx. 23 lakhs for KEM Vadhu. The above 2 grants and also 3 ongoing grants were all closed during RY 20-21 • Record CSR inflows. Thanks to our CSR partners - Chemetall, Foseco, Darshana Industries, GS Labs and Triveni Glass. • Notable contributions to Polio (highest in district 3131) and APF • We have a healthy excess balance in our club and trust accounts for the next rotary year RY 2021-22, this is in addition to retaining and renewing our various Fixed Deposits. Rtn. Sunil Jaiswal also presented a brief summary of our various RCPD Accounts for RY 21-22. Team work across the different boards and the whole hearted support from all our members was instrumental in ensuring our club’s continued success and growth despite the pandemic. Together we will succeed!Review of Rotary Year 2020 -21 ( RCPPD ) IPP Phiroze Masters spoke briefly in the (In Person) AGM on 16th Dec’2021, to give our members a flavour of the past Rotary Year 2020 -21. He explained the difficulties experienced in a year when absolutely no in person meetings were possible due to the Covid-19 pandemic. IPP Phiroze Masters said: The conducting of all weekly meetings remotely, besides getting all training on line, making all payments remotely, and keeping the spirits of our members in high gear was a challenge which me and my team addressed successfully. Plans had to be revised every now and then with the spread of Covid and each time the think tank needed to get back to the drawing board. Despite all these challenges, RCPD managed to execute service projects of approx... Rs 1.74 Crores. The large chunk of these projects were in the Medical Service Avenue as was the need of the time. Two Global Grants were arranged, executed and closed of Rs 74 lakhs and Rs 22.61 lakhs. We also excelled in the District Polio Eradication Drive. RCPD was the highest contributor to the Polio Fund in District 3131. We also did sizeable work in the non-medical avenues, like snack hampers for junior doctors, dry rations for differently abled individuals, providing of mobile shops as new employment opportunities, providing an Otto back Prosthetic arm to an amputee, besides funding her education for competitive exams, etc. RCPD joined hands with on line teacher training programs called Digital Gurumantra. Provided kits to the under privileged members of adivasi families with daily essentials, besides solar lamps, sheet covers, sanitary napkins, hand sanitizers, etc. The story goes on and on, but to keep it brief, I am mentioning the certificates and awards received by RCPD in the RY 2020 -21: - Rotary Citation 2020 -21. - !00% PHF Club. - EREY Club. - 1st. Prize for Highest contribution for Polio in District 3131. - 3rd. Prize Service Projects (Medical) in District 3131. - 3rd. Prize for CSR funding. - 3rd. Prize for Highest per capita contribution to TRF in District 3131. - 3rd. Prize for Highest contribution to APF in District 3131. This was all possible in the most different year in the history of Rotary due to the Covid pandemic, and only because of the active participation by our RCPD family.
