Our PN Rtn. Devdatta Hambardikar was invited to join a Christmas celebration party of the Rotary Club of Kitchener-Conestoga on December 15th, where he had the pleasure of meeting President Adrienne Carter and President Elect Joe Popkey. The event was a social affair where members brought their spouses for lunch and networking. The Rotary Club of Kitchener-Conestoga, founded in 1971, has about 50 members and supports local community causes and international projects. Over the past 50 years, the club has raised over $14 million for charitable projects, with over $3 million directed towards international projects, particularly in Africa. Their Dream Home Lottery and Turkey Drive have raised millions of dollars to help local projects, while Lobsterfest has been the primary fundraiser for international projects. During the event, he also had the pleasure of meeting Priya Mehta, who is helping a school in Coimbatore. After the party, he could brief the President and President Elect about our club activities and GG project. Both were happy to network in future.
