During the Ganeshotsav celebration in September this year, the Rotary Club of Pen carried out a commendable, eco-friendly initiative. They prepared "Amrut Jal" using ammonium sulfate to dissolve POP (Plaster of Paris) Ganesh idols, as they do not dissolve in plain water. The Rotary Club of Pen urged citizens to immerse the idols in this Amrut Jal, and the initiative received an excellent response from the public. The complete dissolution of POP in Amrut Jal produces ammonium sulfate and calcium, which can be used as effective fertilizers. In recognition of this initiative, the Pen Municipal Council honored the Rotary Club of Pen. Municipal Chief Officer Mr. Jivan Patil presented them with an appreciation letter.
