Report: Gift of Rakhis to Indian Soldiers Stationed in Andaman and Nicobar Command Date: August 6, 2024 Location: Andaman and Nicobar Command, Post Office HADDO, Port Blair 744102 Organized by: Rotary Club of Chinchwad-Pune Project Title: Peace Building and Conflict Resolution – Rakhi Donation to Indian Soldiers Introduction: In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the Indian Armed Forces, Rotary Club Chinchwad-Pune has undertaken a unique initiative to express gratitude to soldiers stationed in the Andaman and Nicobar Command. On August 6, 2024, the club sent a gift of 1,000 rakhis prepared by 1000 students, Rs. 20,000, to the soldiers as part of a project under Peace Building and Conflict Resolution. The primary objective of this project was to acknowledge and honour the dedication and sacrifices of Indian soldiers by celebrating the traditional festival of Raksha Bandhan. This initiative aimed to foster solidarity between the school children and the soldiers.
