As part of district Playing 11 project, Cherry Blossom Project was implemented at Prajnanabodhini School, Shirgaon on 7th December 2024. Awareness, Prevention and Treatment of Anaemia in School going boys / girls of 10 to 16 years of age. Team of FPAI (Family Planning Association of India) consisting of 8 members including Doctor and Counsellor were present during the project execution. Hemoglobin testing was done by finger prick method. Anameic students (where HB level is less than 10 gms%) were given treatment of Iron and Folic Acid Tablets for 3 months were provided to the students. The team also did the counselling with all the students. Around 300 students (Boys / Girls) of standard 5th to 9th were tested. School management made the nice arrangement in the ground floor in a hall so that FPA team can conduct the test without any disturbance. The project execution started at 10 am and it was completed by 3.30 pm/ President Rtn Vivek, Membership Director Rtn Sushil Ji, Treasurer Rtn Dinesh Ji, Ann Shakambhari Ji, IPP Rtn Manoj and Ann Shital were present from RC of Belmondo, Gahunje. Breakfast, Tea was provided by the school to FPA Team members as well as Rotarians before start of the event. Lunch was provided to FPA Team members.
