| Minutes of Meeting | Our Fellowship Night held on March 26, turned out to be an entertaining and enjoyableevening marked with that special Downtown bonhomie. DG Pankaj Shah also joined us for this special evening. The evening’s entertainment started with a heart-warming tribute to Lata Mangeshkar, the legendary Nightingale of India, by the children of Sunderji Institute. It was followed by an exhilarating dance by Rtn. Jitu Mehta’s grandson Kush Mehta. Then came a mesmerizing portrayal of “Navrasa” or the nine different emotions by our newly inducted members Charu and Ajeet Mudholkar. Ann Priti Gupta rounded off the first part of the evening’s entertainment with an enchanting dance performance. After that, professional singers Vivek Salve and Ashwini Dandekar took the stage and entertained with some Bollywood melodies while members ate and drank and chatted. The carefully chosen menu included Thai, Italian, South Indian and Jain food dishes and was well appreciated. The credit for arranging this beautiful evening goes to our enthusiastic Fellowship Team. First Lady Ipsita, Rtns. Masarrat, Promil and Rathin deserve to be applauded for their meticulous planning and organization. Special thanks are due to Chairman Poroochi for her beautiful messages and inputs to the programme all the way from New Zealand! The team received constant support from President Asis. Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening and the opportunity to catch up with friends after a long ‘covid-inflicted’ gap. Three cheers for our wonderful members for a great turnout and for re-affirming our togetherness and that special sense of bonding! |

Zubair Poonawalla . 29th May meeting will be on Zoom platform . Program Committee is planning a fellowship physical meeting in April . 4. Service : BOD thanked Sangeeta Saxena and her NGO partner for Kamshet Old Age Home project, and Rtn Arti Sanghvi for initiating food distribution to polio vaccination drive volunteers . E learning kits distribution to schools still pending , will be executed soon . Board appreciated Rtn Rishikesh s efforts in getting CSR funds of Rs.4.05 lacs from GS Labs for Yuvti Service Director Swastik could not attend the meeting but sent email reporting as follows : 1. Two sessions of Asmita project were conducted on 7th and 17th March in Anjuman Islam school and Polytechnic respectively. Total number of beneficiaries 200. Couple of more sessions to benefit 300 more are planned before 17th April 2. V-collect ( waste collection drive) is planned on 27th March 10 am to 2 pm 3. Received 1.41 lacs from FICCI FLO Pune chapter. To which our club contributed 1.53 lacs. We placed an order for 100 vials which will be administered to 50 girls in two sessions for cervical cancer vaccination. Dr. KJ Singh will organize through Jehangir hospital 4. The Yuvti project team informed that giving scholarships to researchers of IISER fired not fall into the preview of Yuvti in principle. The Board has committed a sum of Rs. 3 lacs every year for Yuvti project The Board approved partnering with IMPACT GURU for crowd funding to raise Rs. 25 lacs required for Global Grant Project of medical equipments for Pediatric ward at Sassoon hospital. Global Grant Committee has Rtn. Sangeeta Lalwani, Rtn. Sudhir Tandon , Rtn Rishikesh Dandekar and Rtn. Mohinish S Thadani Foundation - Nothing to Report 6. Youth Activities - Nothing to Report 7. | Minutes of Meeting | On 26th March, the Club had the Fund Raising Meeting organised at the Residency Club. Pre-fellowship started at 6:30 PM where many members joined and interacted with each other. Many of them had come for the first time for a physical meeting after Covid restrictions were relaxed. There was lot of enthusiasm and happiness to be able to meet each other after a long time. After Fellowship, the meeting was called to order by Pres. Amitabha Mukhopadhyay and members and guests were welcomed to the meeting. All the members congratulated Rtn. Nitin Desai for being declared winner of the 2022 Punya Bhushan Award. This Award is given by the Punya Bhushan Foundation for the last 32 years and is considered prestigious in the country and abroad. Rtn. Nitin Bhai Desai is being awarded for his contribution as an entrepreneur and social activist. President Amitabha updated all members about the Vaccination on Wheels Project status. 22,08,330 vaccines have been administered as on 24th March. Daily dosage is at 34.772 now. We wished happy birthday to R'ann Rashi Sharma, Rtn. Dr Shona Nag and Rtn. Dr Gururaj Lachyan. We conveyed anniversary wishes to Rtn. Lalit an R’Ann Vidhu Vij, Rtn. Kanwal and R’Ann Urvashi Guliani, Rtn. PP Narayandas and Rtn. Aruna Rathi. Once the Club routine proceedings were done, President Amitabha invited Rtn Vipen Malhotra, the host of the fund raising to start the event. Rtn Vipen presented details of each Club project including the funds received so far and commitments made by donors. The shortfall for each Project was sought from the members who gave a tremendous response and the entire shortfall was covered in no time. Including pre-commitments, a total of Rs. 74.96 Lakhs were mobilized against our budget of Rs. 190.10 lakhs for Club Projects and a total of US$ 1.52 Lakhs were mobilized against our budget of US$ 1.52 for CHD Phase-2 Global Grant Project After a big-hearted fund raising program, all the members were treated to a sumptuous dinner by the Fellowship Committee. |
