Minutes of Meeting The event name YUVAN itself brought in that imagination and youthfulness in District youth seminar of 2022 hosted by Rotary Club of Pune Lokmanyanagar. To sum it up the event was a super duper success on all fronts. First the event went houseful with over whelming response from not just Rotarians, Rotaractors but also other youth from many different institutions like Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, BCom, BBA, Computer science compelling the host club to request DG to hold further registrations. First ever this happened in the District 3131 that registration for the event went houseful 2 days prior to event. And the event itself was powerpacked with two best speakers with their best speeches. The chiefguest was Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, the industrialist and Charman of Kirloskar Brothers and in his very quiet and impressive demeanour he went on to give a very simple yet best speech for the young generation covering the entrepreneurial journey of his great grand father to important lessons for the young generation. He emphasized how clients satisfaction is at the centre of any business and how one should never lose the faith and focus. PDG Rtn Dr Deepak Shikarpur had a very lively Q and A with Mr Sanjay Kirloskar during which Mr Kirloskar invited inbound RYE students to visit their Green office at Pune. The students lateron gave very positive feedback on Kirloskar Sir’s talk. Mr Kirloskar was honoured with Vocational Excellence Award by District 3131 at the hands of District Governor Dr Anil Parmar and first lady Dr Hema Parmar Another key note speaker was Mr Kiran Gavnade representing Mubaiche Dabbewale and in his unique style that touched the audience he described how this 100 plus year old organization has been working and how their mistake rate is not even 0.1% even if they carry more than 2 lacs tiffins everyday to working men and women of Mumbai. He also explained how King Charles visited them in Mumbai and eventually invited them to London and it was very well appreciated. His unique presentation style was appreciated by Mr Sanjay Kirloskar himself. The clubs from Dist 3131 were awarded with certificates for their work in Youth avenue under different categories. The Rotaract club of 3131 enthralled the audience with their performances like skits and dance. The highlight of the event was also presence and a dance performance by inbound RYE students. Students from 12 different countries performed. They further immensely enjoyed the program and the food. The quality of the food served and the spread during High Tea and Dinner were so well liked by the participants than their good feedback were given to the host club right there and then. The event was a success because of guidance by DG Dr Anil Parmar and his presence with first lady Dr Hema Parmar was a booster for the team. PDG Rtn Dr Deepak Shikarpur was instrumental in getting the august presence of Mr Sanjay Kirloskar and also the beautiful venue. The event was attended by PDG Rashmi Kulkarni. The district team chairman Rtn Kranti Shah, DRCC Rtn Pushkraj Mulay and their team planned the agenda neatly. Rtn Ajit Walunj was instrumental in arranging the visit by Dabbewale from Mumbai. The RRRO Hamid has been instrumental in great coordination between Rotary and Rotaract. DRR Akash Chikte helped with planning and registrations along with help on arranging the photographer. The host club RCP Lokmanyanagar ensured that the arrangements were perfect and not a single thing was missed. The president Dr Madhura Vipra paid attention to the smallest details. Convenor Rtn PP Ajay Wagh and her entire team from Lokmanyanagar club worked hard for the event and made it one of the most memorable events in year 22-23. The president Dr Madhura Vipra has thanked everyone who supported this programme one way or the other. Another thing that distinguished this district event was the aristocratic venue, superb ambience and a very smooth execution start to end. Rotary Youth Seminar definitely a power-packed & houseful show. A big thank you to the DG. Rtn. Anil Parmar and entire district team who helped us plan the backdrops, manage awards and certificates and support on all fronts. Special thanks to pDG Dr Deepak Shikarpur. Youth seminar is perfect example of varied teams within Rotary family.

Lekha Nair, Vice President and Director — Club Administration, pointed out that 11 meetings were held between July and September, with four guest speakers and seven internal programs. She added that the objectives of the Bulletin have largely been achieved, and members have actively participated in, contributed to, and enjoyed reading the weekly issues. Rtn. Nitin Rajore, Director — Membership, said five new members had come on board between July and September 2022. The committee was confident of achieving 10 percent membership growth, and hoped to add new lady members and members below the age of 40. Rtn.
