| Minutes of Meeting | MINUTES OF MEETING Venue: RCC Date: 07/10/2022 Members gathered at RCC from 7.00 to 7.25pm & had high tea. Members assembled in the hall at 7.30pm Meeting called to order by President Rtn Pranita Alurkar followed by National Anthem Secretary Rtn Keshav Manage announced about the District Event Rotary Idol a Mega Singing Competition scheduled on 27 th November. Registration charges are Rs 600 & open for all Rotarians, Anns, Annets, Parents of Rotarians, Rotaractors & any other non-Rotarian referred by a Rotarian Fellowship announcements were done by Rtn Arjun Dalal. President briefed about the Runathon celebrations & once again thanked all the members for the participation & contribution. Also recognised the guests of Ranu who were present for the meeting. President also informed about the award received at Dhadkan by the Club for the project, Service Project Director Rtn Kamaljeet handed over the Trophy & the certificate to the President. President also informed about the car rally initiated by four lady Rotarians of Chennai Club & their arrival at Pune. Our Club members hosted them for a night & they were happy about the Hospitality provided. President Rtn Pranita adjourned the meeting & handed over to Rtn Aditi Roy. Rtn Aditi Roy hosted the programme Bijoya Sammilani, wherein Bengali Culture & Bengali tradition of performing Durga Pooja were presented. There were some Bengali dance & song performances by the guests of Rtn Aditi Roy. All members enjoyed the programme. Very delicious Bengali cuisine was served for the dinner. Minutes of the previous meeting (August) of BoD were read and confirmed without change. Adoption proposed by PDG Vivek and duly seconded by Jaideep Parekh as confirmed. Points arising out of Minutes of last meeting- Mr Tiwadi of Rosary H.School I.T Department helped to make two minute video clip on SEVARTH were highly appreciated by the Board and it was suggested that Mr Tiwadi be suitably recognised in the regular weekly meeting on 10th October 2022 at the Poona Club, Hall N.1 Monthly Attendance for September was reviewed with satisfaction and Jt Secy was recognised duly for improving attendance. New Proposals if any : Brig. Sheode’s resume was circulated to the Board members. He has attended meeting of the club at Poona Club and his name has been passed by Membership and Classification Committee. A notice of 10 days shall be given to General Body for raising objection , if any and failing which he shall be given Rotary Information thereafter and inducted duly on 31st October 2022 at the Poona Club Ltd . Programs for October- November 2022- President Maithili gave details of Programs planned in Oct 2022 – On 10th October 2022, the speaker will be Dr Jignesh Pandya on Rotary and Public Image. Meeting will be followed by Mini Fellowship. Meeting of Monday, 17th October has been preponed to Sunday, 16th October and shall be held at Boat Club Pune. The topic shall be District Service Seminar starting at 4 pm and ending at 8.30 PM with fellowship thereafter. Board has altered the meeting as Rotary Club of Poona shall be host club with the permission of the District Governor and has already nominated Rtn Kailash Monga as Convenor for the same. On Monday 31st October the meeting at Poona Club will be held to celebrate Diwali and shall be followed by mini fellowship. Nominating Committee Meeting has been confirmed to be held on 21st November 2022, notice of which shall be given by President on Monday, 17th October 2022 . Directors’ Reports of Service Projects : CLUB SERVICE – Director being on leave, the President informed on his behalf regarding the programs being planned by Ramgopal Rao and the Board approved his systematic and meticulous planning and execution. The introducer is given seven days notice to organize proper introduction of the speaker. So also with the vote of thanks. Mini Fellowships Meetings are well appreciated and Attendance has shot up. The Board agreed with satisfaction that membership development was positive. VOCATION SERVICE : Adv Manohar Jagdale being occupied with High Court case, PDG Vivek mentioned that Rtn Manohar was planning Vocational Visit about which information with dates shall be provided soon. Vocational Award was given to Mrs Rajani Paranjpe for pursuing basic education of neglected section of children. Youth Service: Director Vaijayanti being on Leave, President Maithili informed the Board that FIVE interact club installations had been completed and Rtn Ashiesh Tavkar has given a talk to clubs on career development. QUIZ competition planned for 17th Dec. 2021 at YMCA. Hall to be booked by Director Vaijayanti Community Service : Aarti Thacker has been consistently planning and doing service projects for the community since the inception of this Rotary Year and this was appreciated by the Board. Following Community Service Projects are planned – 1. Solar Lights – report to be given – with Rajgurunagar Club 2. Blood Donation at Hollywood Gurdwara on Guru Purab 3. Gyan Prabodhini- women empowerment 4. ASMITA- for girls (malnourishment removal) 5. Miawaki Forest at Sane Guruji H School , Dandekar Bridge, Pune 6. Wheel chair to crippled youth- Rs 50,000 received from Late Harmindar Ghai family, balance from Rtn Treasurer Zarir will fund 100% project 7. Mr Tiwadi of Rosary IT Dept to make a 2 minute video on Community Service Projects of the Rotary Club of Poona International Service : Col. Kohli being on leave, BoD will request him to speak to members to donate to APF Hon. Treasurer : Rtn Zarir mentioned that he has started numbering vouchers under sub heads to help Mr Amit Gaikwad to identify heads of expenditure under various service avenues. He also raised the matter of GST registration on which Rtn Jaideep Parekh has sent a detailed note to all. Rtn Zarir having gone through the note, felt that the issue of “Pure Agent” under section 230 of the GST Act had not been stressed in the cases referred to in the note. He will discuss with experts Mr Joglekar and Mr Shivkumar. It was decided that a meeting be convened with one point agenda after Rtn Zarir comes to a conclusion and the BoD will make a final call on the subject. Trustees Pradeep rathi and Avadhoot Walimbe will be invited to this meeting. Rtn P.Elect NPS Bakshi showed the coffee mug to be given as memento costing Rs105 including taxes. It was approved by the Board. Any Other Point: Vocational Award presented to Mrs Rajani Paranjpe in the weekly meeting was appreciated. The cost of memento will be incurred from the already approved Vocational Budget of Rs.10,000. Budget for JALDURGA district event was also approved. Fund Raiser Dandiya : President congratulated Rtns Ravi, Praful and PDG Vivek for the successful Dandiya program. Board also applauded the three members for collecting Rs8 Lakhs in addition to contribution from The Poultry Association. Member Induction : The issue of procedural delay in induction of new members was raised and discussed. Finally, it was decided that due caution and care be taken to ensure election of good members into the club fraternity and slight delay was condonable. There is a need for a new CPU for the office computer. IPP Bharat will be consulted in the matter. The matter was raised by P.Elect N P S Bakshi. NO OTHER matter was discussed. The meeting was closed with thanks to the Chair after fixing 11th November (2nd Friday) as the date of the November Meeting of the Board, due notice taken by members present. |
