Fellowship. By Rtn Suhail. The following was concluded in the meeting. 1. Rtn Nisrin,s proposal for the stationery and notebooks was discussed. Rtn. Nisrin will get exact details for the requirement. However, it is decided that a budget of 16K is approved of which 5K will be sponsored by Rtn. M Badshah and 1K by Rtn Kunjan 2. Rtn S Poonawala informed that RI dues of 68K was paid within time and therefore RCPH gets points for timely payment. Rtn S Poonawala informed that District dues are payable in Sept. 3. Rtn Papaji informed that Rotaract Bharatvarsh installation will be conducted in Girme School Hall on Sunday 13 th Aug 23 from 2pm till 5pm. All are requested to attend. The snacks for the event are organised by Rtn Papaji to be paid by Rotaract Club. Our team to visit Girme school on the 11th of Aug to ensure that necessary arrangements are available. 4. Rtn Papaji informed that Interact installation at Shiva Valley school will be conducted on 12th Aug. It is planned that we should leave with our personal vehicles not later than 10am. The program will commence once we reach the school. 5. Rtn Badshah mooted to do blood donation camp in Azam Campus on the birthday of PA Inamdar. To find the right contact to speak with PA. 6. Rtn Suhail informed that Shiva Valley and even Further are now financially strong enough not to need or support. Therefore, we should look at all the schools nearby in Kondhwa and Hadapsar which have very poor infrastructure and are in dilapidated condition. Even the morale of students there is not encouraging. Therefore there much scope for RCPH to get involved in project s where funding is required and also project where no funding is required which could be morale boosting for the school. An area identified is improvement in communication skills. It was agreed that further visit can be made to such school and program chalked out to help such schools. Date to be finalised for this. | Minutes of Meeting | ‘Creating Lifelong Bonds’ is the story of every Rotary Youth Exchange student after a successful exchange year! On the 31st of July ’23, our 2022-23 Outbound Fiya Thakur shared her exciting journey of her exchange to Belgium. Fiya spoke about her experiences of the three families she lived with, the school she went to, and the activities she participated in. She took us through the challenges she faced initially- language barrier and making friends. But the warmth and assurance extended by the first family encouraged her to face it all. As a true Indian Rotary ambassador, Fiya did a presentation on India in her host club, managed to dispel the myths that people had about India, and cooked Indian food to serve her hosts! She spoke about her trips to Spain, Paris and Italy and the lifelong friendship bonds she created with the exchange students from different countries. Annet Kimaya Kudva, daughter of Rtn Pundalik and Vidya Kudva introduced Fiya. An RYE student herself, Kimaya gave a gist of Rotary Youth Exchange and fondly remembered her days as an exchange student. The current Inbound and Outbound students were present too. Inbound Giovanna Gontijo from Brazil exchanged flags with President Aruna Rathi. Our Outbound student Sunesh Jain who will be leaving for his exchange shortly was given the club flag to be exchanged with the host district in Mexico. We had a few prospective candidates in the audience and they hope to embark on this adventure someday. It was an interesting evening with the bubbly youngsters! |
