| Minutes of Meeting | Date: 22 August 2023 Venue: Girme School Fellowship: By the Club Attendees: Rotarians S Poonawala, Suhail, Gulu Jagat, S Nalwala, Papaji Mohan, Kunjan, Mohammed Badshah, Nisrin, Ilyasbhai, Hussainbhai Guest: Mr. Hakim Dalal The meeting commenced with the National Anthem and Rtn Poonawala the Acting President presided over the meeting. 1. Rtn Gulu Jagat apprised the meeting with information about Rotary International and about District 3131 and the names of the office bearers. 2. For the benefit of the guest Rtn Suhail spoke about the basic objectives of Rotary and functioning of RCPH. 3. Rtn. Poonawala informed that the date of DG visit scheduled for 19 Sept is now being considered for 3rd November. 4. The project of visit to Umaid school organised by Rtn Nisrin is finalised to take place on the 29th August and maximum attendance is expected. 5. Rtn Papaji reported on the progress of the wheelchair project. Although this is considered a private project, Papaji and Rtn Nalwala informed that local corporator has stepped in to help as well and the wheel chair has been handed over to the lady and she is very happy about it. 6. Rtn Nalwala informed about a message inviting joint participation in a project where a Football player is being invited. The event to be in Boat Club. Although a good idea there was not much interest shown in the proposal. 7. Rtn Hussainbhai informed that Rakhi project in Girme school has to be overlooked since they cannot participate due to exams. 8. Rtn. Nalwala also informed about the visit of Athang Patil DG Interact who would like to visit and interact with other Interact Clubs to share and learn. 9. Rtn Papaji informed that the Rotaract Club will want to do project jointly with Rotary Club especially health related project. RCPH to prepare for the same. 10. Rtn Papaji addressed the meeting and stressed upon the importance of increasing the membership. He advised that members should bring guests to the meetings. For the benefit of the guest he informed how the club functions. 11. Rtn Hussainbhai raised the issue of the status of the Trust. Rtn Poonawala informed that the trust is still active and decision can be deferred. Rtn Hussainbhai will organise to conduct the audit of the trust account and file the report. 12. The guest Mr. Hakim informed the meeting about his background. He informed that he will attend some meetings and only later decide whether he wants to be a member. 13. Rtn Hussainbhai reported about his trip to USA where his son stays and UK where his daughter stays and informed about how he visited all areas of interest to him. The meeting casually enquired what he had brought for them from USA. There was in good humour a mention of Hussainbhai hosting a dinner fellowship. 14. Rtn Ilyasbhai requested that a BOD meeting should be held where goal setting for the club should be implemented. 15. Rtn Ilyasbhai informed that he had now corrected and updated the club website. 16. Rtn. Nisrin enquired whether the pads incinerator can be shifted from the court premises. It was discussed since this was part of global grant project and handed over to the Court, it would be extremely tedious to remove it. On the other hand it is to be enquired from Sudarshan Chemicals whether they can still supply the pads so that the vending machine can be stocked up. 17. Rtn requested that the amounts and dates for payment of trust fees should be put up on the group well in advance. 18. At the end Rtn Ilyasbhai distributed the chocolates he had brought back from his visit to UAE. 19. Secretarial announcements congratulated Rtn Ilyasbhai on his birthday on 28 Aug' 23. Rtn Ilyasbhai shared his contribution to the donation box. Announcement was also done to congratulate Rtn Abbasbhai Shamboora and Ann Fatema on their wedding anniversary on 27th August. 20.
