The minutes of the Board meeting held on August 11, 2023 were approved. 3. Leave of absence for the BoD meeting was approved for Rtn. Giri Sakhrani. 4. The resignation of Rtn. Varun Nagpal was approved. Rtn. PP Ravi Kapoor suggested that an exit interview should be conducted with members who resign to find out their reasons for doing so. 5. President Ajay gave a brief update on Interact Clubs’ participation in the District Assembly. Amount of Rs. 5,300 spent by Rtn. Nandita Khaire for registration of Interactors for the District Interact Assembly was approved. President Ajay said that 11 Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Flacq in Mauritius would be visiting our club on December 2, 2023, and would most likely be taken to visit the 14 Trees project. President Ajay said the FCRA account extension was pending from the Home Ministry. 6. President Ajay said that although individual invoices for annual club subscription and RCPC trust donations were mailed to members in August, many members had still not paid the club dues nor had they attended the weekly meetings. He also pointed out that 43 members had not attended a single club meeting. It was decided that each of the Board members would contact a few members who have not yet paid the club dues. 7. Rtn. Arun Shroff said that as advised by the CA, members who have paid Rs. 30,725 will not receive a refund but the amount will be adjusted and three separate payments would be made by cheque. Rtn. Arun added that only Rs. 27 lakhs have been collected as against a total of Rs. 41.5 lakhs due. 8. (a). Rtn. PP Ravi Kapoor said that all Global Grant (GG) reports and all CSR project compliances for GGs had been submitted. Rtn. Ravi said that we had approached Rtn. Nitin Desai to contribute towards the cataract surgeries project, and he has agreed to sponsor 15000 Cataract Surgeries @ Rs 3500/- each, with the proviso that he would bear 60% of the cost and that RCPC would arrange for the rest of the cost. (b). He said that we are planning to make the Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) project into a Global Grant of a total value of $200,000, for carrying out 100 CHD surgeries and providing antenatal care. RCPC share towards this would be $ 30,000/-, which needs to be raised during the Fundraising. ©. He said that ITC is likely to choose us as their CSR partner, and to this end they have done their operational and financial due diligence. He also said that to promote CSR, we need to reach out to industries in Bhosari and the Nagar Road industrial area. 9. Rtn. Dr. Saroj Bande reported that the HPV vaccine project will be handled by the Health Ministry. Estimated costs for health projects: cancer care Rs. 3 lakhs, eye care Rs. 4 lakhs, eye check-up camps Rs. 3 lakhs. Other projects in the pipeline were surgeries for children with CHD, providing wheelchairs for handicapped cricket players (Rs. 40,000 per wheelchair), and setting up of laughter clubs. 10. Director Non-Medical Service, Rtn Giri could not attend the meeting as he was overseas. He had projected the fund requirements for various projects like Reforestation thru’ the 14-Trees Foundation, Repair of Leaking Dams in Satara District, Financial Literacy Project, E-Learning Kits for schools, Maths Lab for a rural school in Shirgaon and an integrated Science Lab for New Vision College in Shirur Taluka. 11. Rtn. Nandita Khaire gave an update on Youth Services projects, including the Interact District Assembly and the proposed Interact Jamboree. The acquisition of a new bus for the New Vision School for the Physically Handicapped needs to be expedited, she added. 12. Rtn. Nitin Rajore gave an update on the development of a Vocational Diary. He said an email would be sent out to RCPC members requesting details of their and their spouse’s skillsets. Rtn. PP Madhu Rathi has kindly offered to sponsor the project. A bookmark with the Four-Way Test was also being designed and developed. 13. Rtn. PP Dr. Ramesh Dumbre said that the Assimilation Committee aims to have three Fireside meetings in the coming months. He added that these informal get-togethers would promote interaction between members. 14. Rtn. PP Sanjiv Kumar said that a budget of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 would be required for hosting visitors. Transportation costs too need to be covered. 15. Rtn. Madhvi Kshettry requested that she be given a time slot during one of our weekly meetings to assist members to download the Rotary 3131 app and show them how to make a bookmark for steps involved in downloading the app. 16.
