He said implementation of several projects, such as the Wheelchair Cricket for differently abled players, would begin soon. He said funds were needed for three more wheelchairs, and any funds remaining would be used to build a shed for storing the wheelchairs. He added that the Mobile Study App for Students of Class X to XII, costing Rs 55 per app, was being fully sponsored by R’Ann Radhika Malhotra. President Ajay said that a request was received from Rtn Jignesh Patel for applying for a Grant of $ 2 million from the Gupta Foundation for vaccinations not covered under the Govt Scheme, and this was agreed to after receiving our FCRA extension. Rtn PP Ravi Kapoor informed that the application could not be submitted on time and hence we would apply for next year. He added that there were another 18 India-centric foundations providing funds for health care projects that RCPC could approach. 6. In his update regarding the club subscription, Rtn. Arun Shroff pointed out that of the club’s 135 members, 102 had paid up fully, 15 had made a partial payment, and 18 had not paid anything at all. From the amount of Rs 1.4 crores committed, and Rs 18.6 lakhs received, funds can be used to support ongoing projects. Rtn. Arun suggested that an email reminder be sent to people who have not paid. He added that he would also compile a list of members who had not pledged any amount at all, and board members should approach them to contribute. He pointed out that the Rs 8,000 contributed by board members towards Fellowships was often insufficient. The current overrun was already at Rs 12,400. 7. Rtn. PP Ravi Kapoor said that the tie-ups for CSR projects with ITC had moved to Level 2, and that they were doing a due diligence at RISAO. He informed that there had been a meeting with Metta Social, who would act as a bridge between NGOs with a national footprint and donors. He suggested putting a committee together to showcase our CSR projects. He added that contributions of Rs 10 lakhs were available for Women’s Empowerment projects. He added that a GSE-CSR Dinner was being organized for CXOs of Nagar Road and Ranjangaon Industries on November 3 at a five-star hotel, with RC Poona Downtown joining as partners. The cost would be Rs 1,250 per head, and RCPC contribution would be Rs 75,000. At this stage President Ajay pointed out that he was not consulted prior to fixing up the date, the venue or the fact that this was to be a joint venture costing us Rs 75,000. He felt that it was totally incorrect to plan such an expenditure without prior approval of the Board, and fix a date without consulting the President.
