| Minutes of Meeting | The meeting called to order by President Girish at 7.30 followed by National Anthem. Then, President Girish welcomed the guestCapt Amol Ogale and members and anns of the club. Rtn Dr Avinash Kelkar introduced the guest. Capt. Amol Ogale had a great experience of 21 years of marine engineering and he has served as a captain on various ships. He visited in 55 countries. He shared his amazing experiences of his career at sea and gave detailed information about cargo ships. He also talked about his hobbies in art and music. Rtn Prafulla Pendharkar delivered vote of thanks and President Girish felicitated him. This was followed by the Rotary business. PP Rtn Sanjeev announced the programme for the next week (as mentioned in agenda). He also announced the birthdays of the members and anns (names mentioned in the agenda) and President Girish felicitated them. Ann Kalpana Shah cut the cake as it was her 60th Birthday and President Girish congratulated her on behalf of the club. The meeting was adjourned. |

| Minutes of Meeting | Christmas Celebrations with RCPD Members On 21st December, Rotary Club of Poona Downtown celebrated Christmas with all the members at the weekly meeting. It was organised by the teachers of Sunderji Institute of Special School. Christmas is about giving and being there for someone by helping others. Master of ceremonies Clyde, a teacher himself began by introducing his colleagues. After their welcome, we played Tambola with jaldi 5, all the lines and two full houses. The winners were Shikha and Bireshwar Mitra, Promil Aggrawal, Pundalik and Vidya Kudva, Rathin Sinha and Niloufer Tarapore. After this fun game, guests sang beautiful and melodious Christmas carols - like Joy to the World, We wish you a merry Christmas and Jingle Bells. The members also sang along with them and enjoyed the carols. Lastly another game was organised in which six members had to collect specific items from other members and then grab a chair, it was a musical chair with the twist. Everyone enjoyed it a lot and the winner was Pritee Gupta. In short, it was a good time spent with all friends and of course Santa Claus who made a grand surprising entry at the end. |
