| Minutes of Meeting | Saddling Up for a Birthday Bash RCPC members celebrated their club’s fortieth birthday with a Wild West theme on January 7, 2024. It was a warm sunny day, and the Munot farmhouse, perched atop a hill in Bhugaon, proved the ideal spot for a birthday celebration. Rtn. PP Jinendra and Rtn. Amita Munot played the perfect hosts to a large number of Club members, many dressed in their cowboy and cowgirl best. Bar snacks and starters featuring local delicacies, were followed by lunch and dessert. Everyone was in a festive mood, and as the food and drink flowed, members got into the party spirit with many of them posing for photographs in cut-out boards, and others trying their hand at flying kites. All the past presidents of the club who were present on the occasion were invited to cut the cake, and the first ladies too were invited to pose for photographs. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and well-planned afternoon, and Rtn. Jinendra and Rtn. Amita both deserved all the cowboys and cowgirls present tipping their hats and saying “Mighty obliged, sir and m’am”. |

| Minutes of Meeting | जानेवारी महिना म्हणजे रोटरी चा Vocational Month, आणि याच उद्देशाने रोटरी क्लब पुणे फिनिक्स तर्फे दिनांक 8 जानेवारी 2024 रोजी Vocational Visit बारामती इंडस्ट्रियल इस्टेट येथील कॉटन किंग च्या फॅक्टरी मध्ये आयोजित केली होती. फिनिक्स परिवारातले अंदाजे 48-50 जण बच्चे कंपनीसह यामध्ये सहभागी झाले होते. सकाळी 6 वाजताच अगदी उत्साहात सर्वजण निघाले आणि मोरगाव गणपतीच्या दर्शनानी सहलीची सुरुवात अगदी प्रसन्न झाली. खरेदी आणि ती पण पैठणी ची, म्हणजे सगळ्या महिला मंडळासाठी पर्वणीच होती, हो-नाही म्हणता म्हणता रोटरी क्लब बारामती ने आयोजित केलेल्या पैठणी महोत्सवात सगळ्यांनी मस्त खरेदी केली. आपण वापरत असलेल्या एका शर्ट किंवा पँट च्या शिवण कामासाठी 1300+ लोकांचा हातभार लागलेला असतो हे पाहून नवल वाटलं. भारतीय आणि तितकाच नावाजलेला ब्रँड 'Cotton King', कंपनीच्या अगदी सुरुवातीपासून ते आत्तापर्यंतचा प्रवास कंपनीच्या व्हाईस प्रेसिडेंटनी अगदी सविस्तर सांगितला. रॉ मटेरियल इन्स्पेक्शन पासून वॉशिंग ड्राइंग, आयर्निंग या सगळ्या प्रोसेस अगदी व्यवस्थित बघता आल्या. पँटला खिसा कसा शिवतात, बटनचे रीवेटिंग कसे करतात या अशा छोट्या छोट्या गोष्टी बच्चे कंपनीने सुद्धा अगदी कुतूहलाने समजून घेतल्या. कॉटन किंग फॅक्टरी ची विजिट खूपच इंटरेस्टिंग आणि माहितीपूर्वक ठरली. या विजिटनंतर पुरुष मंडळींनीही स्वतःची खरेदीची हौस कॉटन किंग च्या फॅक्टरी आऊटलेट मधून भागवली. कॉटन किंग व्हिजिट नंतर आम्ही पोहोचलो एव्हिएशन अकॅडमी मध्ये, तिथे खूप वेगवेगळ्या प्रकारची शिकाऊ विमाने बघायला मिळाली आणि माहिती पण. यानंतर सर्वांना वेध लागले होते ते भिगवण येथील फ्लेमिंगो बघण्याचे. अगदी जेवण कॅन्सल करून सुद्धा तिथे लवकर पोहोचण्याची सर्वांची तयारी होती. भिगवण ला पोहोचल्यानंतर सर्वच जणांनी बोटीत बसून पक्षी निरीक्षणाचा आनंद लुटला. बोटीत बसूनच सुंदर सूर्यास्तही पाहायला मिळाला. बोटीची सफर आणि पक्षी निरीक्षण संपूच नये असे प्रत्येकालाच वाटत होते. मोरगाव गणपती पासून सुरू झालेला प्रसन्न दिवस, शांत आणि निसर्गरम्य वातावरणात खूपच आनंददायी ठरला. शेवटी हे आवर्जून नमूद करावेसे वाटते, सकाळी बस मध्ये केलेला तिखट मिठाच्या पुऱ्यांचा नाश्ता, रोटरी क्लब बारामती ने आयोजित केलेले दुपारचे जेवण, रोटरी क्लब भिगवण ने आयोजित केलेले रात्रीचे जेवण आणि बॅक वॉटर च्या काठावर बसून आस्वाद घेतलेली भजी या सगळ्याची मजा काही औरच होती. प्रेसिडेंट समीर, मधुर आणि सेक्रेटरी माधव यांचे आणि या सहलीमध्ये सहभागी झालेल्या सर्व मेंबर्सचे खूप आभार. सर्वच जणांसाठी हा दिवस अतिशय स्मरणीय ठरला असणार यात शंकाच नाही. |
