| Minutes of Meeting | The meeting was called to order by President Girish at 7.30 followed by National Anthem. Then, President Girish welcomed the guest Mr Abhijit Jog, and his wife Mrs Nandini Jog. It was a very interesting interview with Mr. Abhijit Jog in which he spoke about his recent best-seller book “डावी वाळवी”. It was a very intensive subject and he presented his views with some examples about the leftist community and its probable threats to India and the World. Ann Chitra Bhave delivered the vote of thanks and President Girish felicitated the guests as well as Rtn. Shirish Sahasrabuddhe. This was followed by the Rotary business. The announcement related to global grants and project initiation was made by President Girish. There were also announcements related to overnight the picnic, funfair, etc. Secretary PP Rtn Sanjeev announced the program for the next week (as mentioned in the agenda). He also announced the birthdays of the members and anns (names mentioned in the agenda) and President Girish felicitated them. The meeting was adjourned. |

| Minutes of Meeting | The weekly meeting on Thursday 11th January 2024 saw the members of RCPD brimming with bonhomie and cheer. An evening of games and fun was planned to celebrate the culmination of winter with Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal just around the corner! Signifying the beginning of the harvest season and the receding of the cold winter months, these festivals bring hope and positivity across the country. Festoons on the wall added to the colour and popcorn and til gurh served at each table gave just the right flavour! The games were well organized and executed by R’ann Pritee Gupta and R’ann Kripa Contractor. With four variations of “What’s the Good Word”, the members present were divided into teams of ten each. Each team played very spirited rounds with each teammate contributing to the effort. Peals of laughter and good humour accompanied each round. The meeting ended with a delicious mini dinner with an appropriately planned menu of lip-smacking Chaat and Chola Puris followed by hot Gulab Jamuns. A feeling of warmth and friendly fellowship certainly percolated the not so cold January evening, bringing alive the bonding of the Downtown family! |
