Following members were felicitated: "Rtn Kalesh Nerurkar & Rtr Aksha Kulkarni for Muktangan activity, DG Visit felicitations – PP Pushkaraj for MOC, PP Abbhey for photos, PP Raju Bellad for venue booking, Ann Gouri Kulkarni, Rtn Varshatai for nice poem on DG, Ann Pallavi Nerurkar for Ishastavan, Ann Suchitra/Ann Smita/Ann Madhura/Ann Pallavi Nagpurkar/Ann Deepa Prabhune for decoration and backstage". | Minutes of Meeting | ‘Build on Your Strengths’ It was a full house at Poona Club’s Conference Hall II, as RCPC members turned up in large numbers for District Governor Rtn. Manjoo Phadke’s visit, which began with briefings from President Ajay Chitnis and the Board of Directors followed by a presentation of the Strategic Plan by President-Elect Brigadier PKM Raja. President Ajay welcomed DG Manjoo, Rtn. Vishwas Phadke, and Assistant Governor Rtn. Phiroze Masters. DG Manjoo personally thanked major donors and said that RCPC was considered the most prestigious club of District 3131, with the second highest membership in the District. In their address to RCPC members, both DG Manjoo and AG Phiroze said that RCPC was doing a wonderful job and commended the club for undertaking many worthy projects that were benefitting society and creating hope in the world. RCPC’s major weakness, namely poor attendance at weekly meetings, was discussed, and DG Manjoo felt that Saturday was perhaps not the right day to hold our weekly meetings, because it often clashed with other events and commitments. She suggested finding out from members why they were not attending meetings. “Ask them what they are looking for,” DG Manjoo advised. “Involvement needs to grow. To come out of weakness, build on your strengths.” President’s Announcements • Five Green PCs were installed at Dasve Public School, Lavasa, on February 15. The PCs were donated by Rtn. Pravin Nadkarni and his son Tanai. Mritunjay Goswami, City Manager of Lavasa, expressed his deep gratitude on behalf of the school and Lavasa City. • Members were requested to submit their nominations for this year’s Vocational Awards from the fields of Health, Environment, Education, Livelihood, or Empowerment and Advocacy. Celebrations We offered birthday greetings to Rtn. PP Dr. Nasir Kazi, R’Ann Bharati Dumbre, R’Ann Noorjahan Kazi, and Rtn. Sunil Asher. Members celebrating their wedding anniversaries included Rtn. Bal and R’Ann Lata Agarwal, Rtn. PP Neeraj and R’Ann Seema Handa, Rtn. Anubhav and R’Ann Jalpa Tewari, and Rtn. PP Rajendra and R’Ann Rajashree Shah. |
