| Meeting Agenda | On 11th March our chief guest was Ms Surekha Mane . She was introduced by PP Shrikant Bhave. She has completed her MSc in genetics from Pune University. But then selected totally different field as career. Right from childhood she was staying in Bopodi in lower middle class society and observed the problems faced by the women. Therefore she decided to work for them. She decided to make women financially independent. For that she made a strong team to work with. They formed about 2000 Bachat gats and made about 50000 ladies financially independent with their small businesses. Cosmos bank supported them by giving loans. With the help of their small savings she claims that she has contributed to India’s GDP. For her great efforts she was given “Shangharsh Yogini ” award. Apart from that she has trained Adiwasi women who got jobs in small factories. She is relentlessly working for last 22 years. Her friends and colleagues were present for the felicitation. All rotations were impressed by her work and appreciated the program. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Deepa Sathe. |
