RCP Tilak Road is the Founder Club for Green Society Awards and also the Host Club for Green Expo.It was a 2-day event with about 40 stalls showcasing Green Products. The inauguration was done at the hands of eminent environmentalist Dr Rajendra Shende. The felicitation was at the hands of IGBC chairman Pune Shri JP Shroff and PDG Deepak Shikarpur. Forty housing societies were fg elicitated for their work in sustainable living adopted in their housing societies. The felicitation was done at the hands of Shri Ravi Pandit of KPIT and DG Manjoo Phadke. o Update on the movie “Swaragandhrava Sudhir Phadke” o Update on toilet blocks – Global grant project o Rtn Parag Gadgil received PHF+1 pin. • SECRETARIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS o Next programme – 16th May: Dr Girish Charwad will share his experiences regarding Forensic sketching. Minutes of Meeting	The meeting was called to order by President Girish at 7.30 followed by National Anthem. President Girish then welcomed the guests Shri Shripad Brahme, Shri Abhijit Pendharkar, and Shri Mandar Kulkarni and their spouses Rtn Jyoti Ranade introduced all three guests. All three guests have been working in journalism for around 25-30 years. They shared their experiences in various new papers and their interaction with different celebrities. Mr Pendharkar is also involved in script writing of Marathi serials and he too narrated his experiences. All the members enjoyed this informal discussion on these interesting topics. Rtn. Dr Shirish Sahasrabuddhe delivered the vote of thanks and President Girish felicitated Shri Brahme, Shri Pendharkar, and Shri Kulkarni. This was followed by the Rotary business. President Girish made announcements about the green expo project ceremony. Rtn Parag Gadgil’s PHF+1 pin was presented to him by Rtn Dr Anant Sardeshmukh. This was followed by Secretarial announcements. Secretary PP Rtn Sanjeev announced the program for the next week (as mentioned in the agenda). He also announced the birthdays and anniversaries of the members and anns (names mentioned in the agenda) and President Girish felicitated them. Rtn Sanjay Bapat and Ann Meghana Bapat were felicitated by President Girish. They sponsored the fellowship dinner. The meeting was adjourned.

Minutes of Meeting	RCPD members enjoyed the musical evening on 9th May, 2024, when the group MADHUMANJARI, a team of singers led by Sm. Madhumita Ghose presented the melodious songs of Rabindranath Tagore at Poona Club. Madhumita is a renowned teacher of Rabindrasangeet in Pune. She teaches Tagore’s music at Shurojhankar, an institute of Tagore’s Music associated with Geetabitan, Kolkata. . MADHUMANJARI is her own school of music. All twelve well accomplished participants were her direct students. Madhumita designed her program that day specially for our Rotarians by projecting a different aspect of Tagore’s music, that is the influence of western tunes on Tagore’s compositions. They presented total ten songs, some of them were the original Irish, English or other European songs with those lyrics and tunes. Then followed the Bengali versions sung in chorus by all the singers. Wonderfully synchronised chorus songs and very delicately presented the western versions, some were solos, others were duets, just took us back to that musical world of nineteenth century. Sm. Bulbul Goswami compèred the whole program beautifully. . Maheshji on tabla and Dr. Anirban Dutta on synthesiser , played wonderfully to add extra vibe to the songs. Madhumita planned and directed the whole program. She played the harmonium to accompany the singers. Overall it was a very enjoyable program for which our RCPD members had given a big applause to Madhumita and her team.
