Minutes of Meeting	On the 15th of May, our club hosted Mr. Sampat Harpale, a distinguished business leader and Ironman athlete, who shared his journey and the challenges he overcame to achieve his dreams. Starting his endurance sports journey at 58, Mr. Harpale remarked on the societal skepticism he faced, but his mantra, "Everything is possible for one who dares," inspired many in the audience. He began with modest runs, increasing his distance gradually. In November 2016, he discovered triathlons and finished as the first runner-up in the Sprint category of TRITHEOS in Pune. This success led him to compete in larger races, and on February 3, 2017, he completed the Dubai 70.3 (Half Ironman) in 06:47:50. Mr. Harpale praised his coach Kaustubh’s training plans, which are tailored to individual capabilities, leading to continuous improvement. Looking ahead, he remains focused on upcoming competitions, demonstrating that age is no barrier to achieving one’s dreams. His talk emphasized perseverance, structured training, and community support, showcasing his journey from senior executive to Ironman athlete as a powerful inspiration that with the right mindset and dedication, anything is possible.
