From Rtn. Brigadier PK Muralidharan Raja, President Elect Rotary Year 2024-25
To receive abundance in life one needs to be a ‘Generous Giver’. The more we give the more we receive. Blessed
are the ones who can Give! We need to be grateful to God for giving us so much that we can think of making
someone’s life better.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much,” said Helen Keller.
Rotary International President Elect Stephanie Urchick announced the 2024-25 Presidential Theme as “The
Magic of Rotary” and called on members to recognise and amplify the organisation’s power to save lives.
Rotary Club of Pune Central is considered as the path leader and trail blazer in Rotary District 3131 and a role
model for other clubs. We have a strong track record of doing large projects supported by our own members as
well as making use of the power of Global Grants, CSR Grants, CSR, Donations, Sponsorships and making a huge
difference to the community.

Minutes of Meeting |
It was the time for the Brainstorming session for RY 2024-25. This activity was
undertaken by the President-Elect and Board members to set the club’s projects or
agenda for the coming year. Vice President Ashish Goyal handed over the meeting to PE
Brig. PK Muralidharan Raja, who welcomed and thanked members for joining the
meeting and requested all the members to give suggestions for the upcoming year.
Meeting Highlights: Members discussed and gave their suggestions on following
matters:
Attendance Issues: Challenges in maintaining consistent attendance were discussed.
Key issues include fluctuating meeting dates (shifting between Saturdays and Sundays)
and inconvenient locations, making it difficult for members to plan ahead.
Program Planning: Emphasis was placed on ensuring meetings have engaging content and fixed schedules. It was
suggested that meetings should include a mix of external speakers and member-led sessions focused on unique
personal experiences, which are not easily accessible online.
Member Engagement: The importance of fostering friendships and creating a sense of belonging was highlighted.
Assigning mentors to new members and organizing small group activities (e.g., fireside meetings, offsite projects)
were proposed to build stronger bonds.
Purpose-Driven Participation: Encouraging members to participate physically in projects was suggested as a way
to create a habit of attendance and enhance the feeling of contribution and satisfaction.
Financial Management: Details about the subscription increase were provided, along with instructions for
payment allocation across different accounts to avoid GST complications. |
