| Minutes of Meeting | Our virtual meeting on September 21, 2024, was yet another engaging and insightful session, marked by an inspiring guest talk and lively discussions. President Brig. PKM Raja called the meeting to order followed by a warm welcome to our esteemed guest speaker, Rtn. Aseem Srivastav. In his address, President Raja emphasized the importance of participation, encouraging all members to actively engage with upcoming projects and events. He also updated everyone on the ongoing projects. He highlighted the upcoming Club Assembly scheduled for September 28, and urged all the members to attend the same. This week, we celebrated the birthdays of Rtn. Jitendra Sandu (Sept 18), Rtn. Shireesh Nadkar (Sept 20), Rtn. PP Parmod Kumar Bhalla (Sept 23), Mr. Neelimkumar Khaire (Sept 23), Rtn. Narendra Sanghvi (Sept 24), and Rtn. PP Sanjiv Kumar (Sept 25). Wishing them a year filled with joy and success! We also extended anniversary wishes to Rtn. Raman and R’Ann Alka Nanda, who celebrated their special day on September 24. The highlight of the evening was the insightful talk by our own RCPC member, Rtn. Aseem Srivastav, who delved into the theme of transitioning from a stressful to a joyful life. He captivated the room as he broke down the science of happiness and stress, explaining how simple practices like meditation can bring about profound changes in one’s state of mind. Aseem stressed the importance of maintaining a balance in personal and professional lives, offering techniques to manage stress and foster emotional well-being. One of the key takeaways was Aseem’s discussion on Heart Coherence, a technique that enables individuals to control their stress levels through regulated breathing and focusing on positive emotions. He even led the group in a brief meditation session, which left everyone feeling calm and rejuvenated. The interactive Q&A session following Aseem’s talk was filled with curiosity and thoughtful questions. Members shared their own experiences with stress and were eager to learn more about how these techniques could be applied in their daily lives. President Brig. PKM Raja wrapped up the evening with a heartfelt vote of thanks to Rtn. Aseem for his invaluable insights to our understanding of mental wellness. The president also reminded members about the eye check-up camp near St. Patrick's Church on September 24, led by Rtn. Oni and Rtn. Nafisa, and encouraged members to participate in the upcoming Interact and Rotaract installations. Looking forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting on September 28, 2024, at the Poona Club Conference Hall 1, which will be Club Assembly followed by a mini fellowship. |
