| Minutes of Meeting | Every year, Rotary Club of Pune Metro (RCPM) acknowledges the dedication of Teachers devoting their life to improve the wellbeing of society and students. This year, the theme considered was to accolade teachers from the field of exercise (both physical and mental). After scouting for the teachers who are doing exemplary work in this field, the TEAM finally selected 3 teachers – Mrs. Naina Gujarathi (Yog); Shree Ravindra Pethe (Mallakhamb) and Shree Rohit Garge (Gymnastics). Interestingly, all 3 games have same chord and use each other’s postures while performing the art. The meeting started with brief comments on the concept and procedure from the President Amita Nene. Followed by Ishastavan from Mrs. Madhavi Poddar in her melodious voice. Each Teacher was introduced one Rotarian - Rtn. Shobhana Paranjape, Rtn Chiplunkar and Rtn. Mohan Chatre. Event Proceedings were Introduction of Teacher, AV about Teacher and towards end each teacher shared his/her thoughts. Sow. Naina Gujrathi who has devoted her life to publicity and awareness of Yog mentioned that Yog builds good synchronization for healthy body, sound mind and peaceful soul. Epidemic deceases or distance cannot stop Yog Training. On the contrary, it provides opportunity to reach to the masses! Shree Ravindra Pethe winner of many medals at various levels like State, Inter University decided to devote his life to coach and develop the youth to become national players. He himself is expert in the game of Mallakhamb feels that this game will definitely develop body strong and stout. Mr. Pethe is active in several sports organisations Gymnastics is the game that became very popular due to events like Olympic. Shree Rohit Garge calls it as a game of ‘Grace in Motion’ and strongly feels that it is not only a sport but it is an art! In Gymnastics, individual strength, balance and body control is improved. Teacher Shree Garge is qualified Bled and MPED (Master of Physical Education). He is now regular trainer in several establishments. Rtn. Rajendra Erande expressed the ‘vote of thanks’ to all teachers who were facilitated and Organizing Team involved in the success of the event. Special mention for Rtn. Avinash Joshi for hosting the dinner and sponsoring the event. The Project was led by the Project Director Mrs. Anjali Sahasrabudhey. Mrs. Mugdha Chiplunkar nicely compared the event as MOC (Master of Ceremony). |

| Minutes of Meeting | On September 26, a general meeting was held at Mahatma Gandhi Vachanalay.In this meeting President Sanyogita was congratulated for the prize received in the Litercay Seminar held at Pune.Following this a discussion took place regarding the projets to be undertaken during the Navvratri festival.It was decided to collaborate with the Prem Nagar Navratri Committee to organize various activites over the nine days of Navratri.The discussion included plans for medical awareness camps and a Dandya Competition and strategies were developed on how to execute these initiatives. |

| Minutes of Meeting | On 26th September, we had the privilege of hosting Ms. Radhika Dalvie, a renowned educator and philanthropist, as the guest speaker for our weekly meeting. Ms. Dalvie, a recipient of the National Award for Teachers in 2019, shared her inspiring journey and the impact of her NGO, Arun Aashray. With over four decades of experience in education, Ms. Dalvie has taught in prestigious ICSE schools in Mumbai and Pune. She retired as Principal of Wisdom World School in Pune and currently serves as an Educational Consultant. A turning point in her life came in 2007 when she lost her 18-year-old son in a road accident. This tragic event led her to establish Arun Aashray, a home for abandoned children, as a tribute to her son. Since its inception in 2011, Arun Aashray has rescued 117 children and found loving homes for them, including reuniting some with their biological parents. The organization provides comprehensive care, including healing, education, and rehabilitation, to children who have been abandoned on railway tracks, bus stations, or in other vulnerable locations.
