Minutes of Meeting 1. Confirmation of Quorum After ascertaining that the requisite directors were present to form quorum, the President welcomed all the directors. 2. Confirmation of Minutes of Previous Board Meeting Minutes of the previous Board Meeting held on 20th August, 2024 were placed before the meeting and the same was read, confirmed. Proposed by Secretary & Seconded by President The President then transacted business of the Board Meeting as per the agenda laid before the meeting on the following items. 3. Review of Service Projects: The service project Director informed about ongoing projects. As he was explaining, the President opined that while implementing the Projects, there is need to check if projects fit in the category for which CSR funds can be utilised. Rtn. Hemant Watwe then suggested that let President, Service Projects Director and Counsellor meet him separately, wherein he will explain the categories for which CSR Funds can be utilised. All agreed and further review be taken after that meeting. The Secretary then introduced a project for Vanita Samaj Sanstha. This Sanstha has a Shishusadan School near Tilak Road, having operation for much more than 60 years. They have following requirement. i) Folding stage for students – cost appr 1.20 lakhs. ii) Storage for toys – cost appr 60 thousand. iii) Painting a Badminton Hall – cost appr 2 lakhs iv) Adding motorised pulley to honing – cost appr 1.50 lakhs. v) School Uniform, shoes, socks – recurring cost appr 1.50 lakh per years. vi) Lunch tiffin for students – recurring cost appr 1.60 lakh per years. The President then stated that feasibility of above project will also be discussed in the meeting with Rtn Hemant Watwe. 4. Review of Admin Director: Rtn. Pradeep Sindekar took review of meetings in last month and gave tentative programmes for next month. He informed that yearly Deep Sandhya musical event will be held on 25/10/2024 in Ganesh Hall in Tilak Road New English School premises. 5. Review by Youth Director The Youth Director Rtn Kalesh Nerurkar informed that remaining installations of Interact/Rotaract clubs were completed. 6. Review by Membership Director The Membership & IT director Rtn Asmita Patil informed that she is in talk with three ladies for membership and details will be shared later. 7. Review by IT Director: The Membership & IT director Rtn Asmita Patil informed that all the pages of social media sites hosting our club information, have been duly updated with the recent projects and events and requested all the Directors to share, like and comment on these pages. 8. Review of Public Image Portfolio: There was no development in the past month in this Portfolio. 9. Review by the Rotary Foundation Director: (TRF) Rtn. Abhhey Bhise informed that he will soon share the details about the appeal he is going to make for Foundation Donation. 10. Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Rtn Viraj Dravid informed the balance in the accounts as on 20/09/2024 are as follows: i) Trust A/c: Rs. 8,36,399.89/- ii) Club A/c: Rs. 3,90,977.9/- 11. Handing over documents by IPP: IPP Rtn Milind Kulkarni informed that he has received from the Chartered Accountant, the Audited Balance Sheets of Club and Trust for last year. He handed it over to the Treasurer. 12. Event Director: Rtn. Nukul Dinkar informed that he will inform the upcoming events later: 13. Secretary: The Secretary informed that as per hosting schedule, next BOD Meeting will be hosted by Rtn. Kalesh Nerurkar. 14. Vote of Thanks There being no other business, PE Rtn Ajay Kale then proposed Vote of Thanks and meeting was declared as over. The Meeting ended at 9.30 P.M., which was then followed by Diner Fellowship from the Host.

Minutes of Meeting 1. Meeting called to order by President and meeting started after National Anthem. 2. It has been decided to organize a "Diwali Faral" event for the brick kiln workers and their children from Vakdi and Morbe, Taluka Panvel, on the day of Laxmi Pujan, i.e., November 1, 2024, at 9.30 AM. During this event, purchased Diwali faral will be distributed to everyone, along with the distribution of clothes in good condition from their homes, utensils, shoes, sandals etc. in good condition, etc., for children and adult men and women. This initiative will be carried out in collaboration with the Janeev samajik Seva Sanstha, Panvel. 3. All necessary documents for the club visit of the AG (Assistant Governor) and DG (District Governor) should be prepared in advance by the President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The DG's visit is scheduled for November 23. It has been decided to finalize the AG's visit before that, based on a suitable date from the AG. 4. The "Cherry Blossom" ( Anemia Detection & Prevention) project for school girls of ASA Asram school shantivan, Wakdi Tal Panvel shall be organized in the first week after Diwali, depending on the availability of the school's girls students and the medical team. The Secretary should discuss this with the concerned parties and finalize the project's date accordingly. 5. As the members of RCC of Ashtavinayak Hospital, Panvel are currently busy with their regular work, their induction ceremony shall be organized after Diwali. If the charter for Aditi RCC arrives by then, their induction ceremony should be scheduled accordingly on suitable Sunday. 6. The club has sent a proposal to establish an Interact Club at Shri Annasaheb Sahasrabuddhe Aadivasi Ashram School. If the charter for this club arrives in the coming days, the installation ceremony for the Interact Club should be organized on the same day as the launch of the Cherry Blossom project. 7. A RYLA shall be organized in November for the students of Interact club of Kurulkar School in Koproli, which was established by our club. The program will be held on Saturdays and Sundays. The Youth Director of our club handle the planning for this event. 8. Our club has decided to undertake a project under "Playing 11" to distribute bicycles to needy students. The plan is to collect unused bicycles standing idle in the premises of cooperative housing societies in Panvel and surrounding areas, repair them through the club, and distribute them to deserving students. The club has prepared a letter for this purpose. A copy of this letter should first be given by each club member to the president of their own housing society. If their society cannot provide a bicycle, members should share the letter with presidents of other housing societies known to them. If each club member manages to arrange one bicycle, we will reach our goal of ten bicycles. 9. During the i topics of Immediate Concern , it was decided to hold a club family meeting once in a month. The Secretary will organize next family meeting at his residence at a time that is convenient for him. Meeting ended with secretarial announcement and vote of thanks . Due to the sudden heavy rain, today's meeting was held online instead of offline. The President thanked all the club members for attending, even though the decision was made at the last minute.

Meeting Agenda On the 20th of October, Rotary Club of Pune Pride hosted a remarkable service seminar for Rotary District 3131, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended. The event was executed with precision and grace, largely attributed to the impeccable leadership of President Rtn Radha Gokhale and the eloquent stewardship of the Master of Ceremony AG Rtn Sanjyot Malpani. Their dedication and professionalism ensured the seminar ran smoothly and efficiently, earning widespread acclaim from participants. The seminar's highlight was an illuminating interview conducted by PP Rtn Ujwal Kele, featuring two of Pune city's most esteemed personalities. Smt Shailaja Deshpande, founder of the NGO "Jivit Nadi," shared insights into her tireless efforts to rejuvenate and protect the city's rivers. Her dedication to environmental conservation struck a chord with the audience, inspiring many to take up the cause. Her statement “The river does not run through the city, the city has been established on the banks of the river” left a lasting impact on the audience. She said that an average age of a river is 10 Million years and it has been the life-line of numerous symbiotic eco-systems along it’s was for millions of years, but the modern cities are destroying the very foundation of these rivers. In an equally captivating segment, Dr. Sonawane, affectionately known as the "Beggars Doctor," recounted his incredible journey of providing medical care to the homeless and beggars on the streets of Pune. His unwavering commitment to offering check-ups, medical advice, and free medicines to the most vulnerable members of society was both humbling and motivating. His remarkable journey from a student who hated studies to graduating in medicine, from a well paying job to total dedication to social work and from a family of four to an extended family of 1200 persons is astounding. He not only ensures their physical health but also persuades many to become self-reliant through jobs or self-employment. It was amazing to know both these towering personalities of Pune city. The seminar also gave a platform to various district avenues to showcase their achievements including the Rotary International's areas of focus namely Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development and last but not the least the Environment. AG Rtn Subodh Malpani was eloquent and at his best emphasising the importance of have a Rotary Community Corps (RCC). He was confident that the RID 3131 will achieve a rare feat of crossing the 200 RCC target. The District Governor PP Rtn Shital Shah gave words of encouragement to all and also set out the targets for the rest of the Rotary year 2024-25. This seminar not only showcased the remarkable achievements of these individuals but also underscored the Rotary Club's on-going commitment to community service and excellence. The event was a testament to the power of collective action and the impact of compassionate leadership. Congratulations to all involved in making this seminar a resounding success!
