| Minutes of Meeting | Our weekly meeting on November 16, 2024, was both engaging and impactful, showcasing the vibrant spirit of collaboration and planning that defines our club. President Brig. PKM Raja began the session by leading the National Anthem and extending a warm welcome to all. The atmosphere was energized, with members looking forward to a lively evening of discussions and decisions. We celebrated the birthdays of R'Ann Madhuri Narvekar (November 17), Rtn. Aruna Rathi and Rtn. Yogesh Shah (November 18), Rtn. Anil Bora and R'Ann Anagha Shah (November 19), and Rtn. Sanjay Karwa (November 22). It was a joy to honor these milestones and share in the celebrations. The Nominating Committee Election was the highlight of the meeting. Following seven members were elected: Rtn. Sunil Asher, Rtn. PP Rakesh Bhargava, Rtn. PP Dr. Anand Bhatia, Rtn. IPP Ajay Chitnis, Rtn. PP Ajay Dubey, Rtn. Nitin Rajore and Rtn. PP Abhay Shah Rtn. IPP Ajay Chitnis was appointed as the convener of the Nominating Committee. This election reaffirms our commitment to democratic processes and active participation in shaping the leadership of our club. Lekha Nair facilitated a brainstorming session that explored innovative approaches to conducting meetings and simplifying committee operations. Members contributed enthusiastically, sharing ideas and perspectives to enhance the club’s functioning. It was agreed that such discussions would be continued, with a view to implementing these improvements in the Rotary Year 2025-26. Secretary Rtn. Sagar Khandelwal provided key updates, including the announcement of our next meeting. Scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Boat Club Pool View Hall, it will be a special gathering to celebrate ‘The Rotary Foundation’ Day, followed by a mini fellowship. The meeting concluded with gratitude and excitement, as members left inspired and ready for the week ahead. Sagar Gundevar- Director International Services Venue: Online 1. Meeting was called to order by the President Rtn Shailesh Patel. 2. President Rtn Shailesh Patel thanked the members for timely presence for the meeting. 3. Rtn. Ravi Kiran initiated discussion about the President Elect Nominee for the Rotary year 2026-27. The following names were considered for the said post: Rtn Komal Gundewar,Rtn. Arti Bhatia,Rtn. Rangrajan, Rt. Ritesh Srivastava, and Rtn Ramesh Samant. Rtn. Rangrajan indicated that if nobody is available till 15th December, then he would be ready to take up the post of the President Elect Nominee 4. President Rtn. Shailesh Patel spoke in detail about the upcoming Mega Cedical camp to be organized on Sunday, 24th November 2024.The venue will be Manusmiriti.Other details of the MMC are as follows:-10 to 15 specialists will be providing their services; expected outpatients-500; mammography van;bone density check.For this camp banners will be printed and Rtn Shailesh Patel urged all the Rotarians-to reach out to the maximum number of Kharghar residents so that they can be benefited by the medical camp. 5. Rtn. RaviKiran provided details about the upcoming Thalessemia project which will be carried out in December.He further added that there will be an awareness session held at YMT, Kharghar, followed by conducting Electrophoresis test and a blood donation drive. 6. Rtn. Sunil Bhatia informed the members that 60% of our donation target has already been achieved. He also asked the members to attend the Foundation seminar to be held in Pune on Saturday, 30th November and emphasized that at least 15 Rotarians from our club must be present to show our commitment & solidarity for any noble cause. 7. Rtn.Sunil Bhatia updated the members about the details of global grant. He said that 2 projects under consideration viz.Skin Bank & procuring a well equipped ambulance. But at present he was in discussion with Dr. Sagar Gundevar about the feasibility of acquiring a dialysis unit and how a lot many people can benefit from it. 8. President Rtn. Shailesh Patel informed the house that we are a partner in a CSR Project for Cardiac surgery. He added that we are the lead club for another CSR project in which tests will also be conducted for cataract & anaemia once we receive the MOU duly signed by the sponsoring company. 9. Lastly, President Rtn. Shailesh Patel spoke about the CSR Awards. He further added that our club will co- host the CSR Awards Night in February/March and the estimated cost will be approx. Rs.50,000/. He added that we are quite hopeful that it will be fully sponsored. |
