A mega tree plantation was carried out at Velu Village near Shindewadi located about 20 kms from Pune on the National Highway 4. About eight Rotary clubs in District 3131, a few Rotaract Clubs and other NGOS joined hands to plant nearly ten thousand trees in Velu village on July 2, 2017. The Bhor Forest Sub-Division contributed saplings and pits for this cause. The Forest Department has agreed to look after the plants as a maintenance initiative. RCP Ganeshkhind participated in this project with enthusiasm and was one of the partner Rotary clubs in this drive. A young team of ten students from Taiwan NGSC also participated in the project.
