Ambitious Signature Project of Rotary Club of Pune Pride Rotary InTech Olympiad 2018 The Grand Finale was organised on 17Th February’18 @ COEP,PUNE Rotary InTechOlympiad 2018 (a sequel to 2016, 2017 IT Olympiad), was organised by Rotary Club of Pune Pride (RCPP) in association with College of Engineering Pune (COEP) and AFour Technologie. Rotary InTech Olympiad was designed with a singular focus on identifying required industrial skills / competencies to solve specific industrial problems (either core engineering problems or techno-commercial ones) identified by different sponsor companies as industrial projects. It was a pan India event since 2016 This event spans 9 calendar months (from June 2017 to February 2018). We formed national level teams of selected students from the mix of participants from all 30 states as well as union territories of INDIA, using ROTARY INTECH OLYMPIAD ONLINE PLATFORM. Salient features of this outstanding project are: 1) This is PAN India contest driven by Rotary and supported by College of Engineering Pune (COEP) as a Knowledge Partner. 2) It will help students in identifying and recognizing opportunities most suitable to their future professional growth. 3) Teams are formed across Disciplines and States. 4) Interaction with fellow team members who have come from difference states and cities in India. 5) This will help for much needed assimilation amongst upcoming new generation by breaking the barriers of Disciplines, States, Languages, and Cultures etc. 6) Duration of a typical industrial project is 3 to 4 months. 7) Post the event, companies can continue to work with the students across different locations in and may even offer them internship or job offers. 8) A scientific software system which is proved to assess relevant competencies of every student for the given project as well as their competency level (e.g. understanding, remembering, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating) as per "Washington Accord" standards, will be used for analyzing student competencies. 9) This is a professional attempt and evolved over past 3 years Engineering and technology students from all over INDIA participate in this event. 1St Year 2016 participation --- 15,000 Students 2Nd Year 2017 participation --- 18000 Students 3Rd Year 2018 participation --- 20000 Students Through Tests and Exams selected 500 Students Final Short Listed 300 Students Formed 48 TEAMS Industrial Projects 20 Techno-Commercial 5 Core Engineering 16 Project Launched 1St June 2017
