" TARUNYABHAN " “Tarunyabhan” Workshop ‘Tarunyabhan’ a 3 day workshop was conducted personally by renowned gynecologist and social worker Dr.Rani Bang and her team on the 7, 8 and 9 December 2017 at MAAERs MIT polytechnic, Kothrud Pune. This is an ongoing Project of Rotary Club of Pune Metro( RCPM). Targeted towards around 800 teenagers aged about 17 to 20 years of age, the workshop covered topics of physical and emotional teenage traumas, sexuality, love, choosing a life partner, leading a happy married life, birth control methods, physical and emotional upheavals of middle aged and older persons and related issues. The workshop included power point presentations, games, songs and interactive sessions. This workshop was inaugurated on December 7, 2017 at 9.30 am. The chief guest was Hon. Shri Jayant Bhave, Councillor Pune Municipal Corporation. President of RCPM Rotarian Madhav Tilgulkar, Secretary Rotarian Bhavana Chahure, Convener Ann Anagha Gokhale, Principal of MAAERs MIT Polytechnic Prof. Rohini Kale were present on this occasion. Shri Jayant Bhave, chief guest spoke on the necessity of such workshops giving apt examples. The three day workshop which elicited a warm response and participation from the students concluded on 9 th December 2017 with Question/ Answer session. The Valedictory function was organised by MAAERs MIT polytechnic. Mrs Anuradha Prabhudesai of Lakshya Foundation was the chief guest. Prof Rohini Kale and Convener from MIT Polytechnic Prof Mrunal Fatangare were present. From RCPM Secretary Rotarian Bhavana Chahure, Jt. Secretary Rotarian Padma Shahane were on the dais. Certificates were given to the participating students. Some of the participating students expressed their views on the workshop. Dr Rani Bang was felicitated by Rotary Club of Pune Metro and MAAERs MIT polytechnic. RCPM has been organizing such workshops successfully for the past thirteen years in Pune and at district towns. More than 10,000 teenagers have benefited from this workshop. The program is very popular and there is a huge and constant demand from rural as well as urban areas for such workshops and therefore our club intends to continue this work in future too.
