Rotary 3131 - Project Details

19-11-2017 - 19-11-2017

It is said that “Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom.” Freedom from illiteracy, freedom from poverty, freedom from self-doubt and freedom from financial insecurities. In our attempt to further sustain our efforts towards our ambitious Happy Village project, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite donated an E-learning kit to Virani School, a primary and secondary school located at a tribal village named Virani near Pen on 19th November 2017. We at Rotary Club of Panvel Elite have always believed to research the ground realities at the grass root level before planning and executing our projects. We found out that the school faces a shortage of quality teachers rather frequently. In order to alleviate them of this problem, the E-learning kit that we donated is equipped with the entire state board syllabus in the regional language up till grade 7. Not just students but even the teaching staffs at the school were very excited to have received this e-learning kit as it is strongly seen as a major source of learning to improve their teaching abilities as well in addition to benefiting students. The school has promised to use the e-learning kit to its complete potential and break all the shackles which bind them from gaining quality education through this state of the art technology. The club is also going to send an executive to introduce the features of the e-learning kit to the students and teachers and also make them familiar with its usage. They say, “A child without an education is like a bird without a wing”. We believe that this e-learning kit will give them the wings to fly high in life.
