Teachers Training was undertaken at Ahiliya Devi High School. This training was undertaken as part of the Rotary India Literacy mission which has ( teachers training) as one of the verticals of T-E-A-C-H. Forty four teachers from different schools of Pune and Pune District attended the day- long training session which gave them insights of new classroom teaching methods, internet usage etc. The objective was to upgrade their teaching methods and skills to make classroom learning more enjoyable for the students with an aim to avoid school dropouts and also to have better quality of student passouts who would be able to get better jobs. The trainers were of international standards and the training was imparted in two languages (bilingual). Certification was issued to teachers after they showed evidence of implementation of newer teaching methods in classroom via the assignments. This was done at the end of 3 months. The beneficiaries were 40 teachers of different schools (Pune/Dist).
