An awareness campaign was conducted at Suryadatta Institute with the target beneficiaries of the campaign being the girl students. The students were educated about the difference between appropriate touch and inappropriate touching with an aim to prevent sexual abuse. This was followed by a session on importance of marking sanitary waste wrapped in newspapers with a red dot to ensure easy identification and effective segregation by the waste pickers and personnel involved in waste handling ensuring human dignity and less exposure to obnoxious odour and disease causing bacteria. The project was zero cost, sessions were attended by 200 students.
