Create Awareness and prevention about Cervical Cancer in women through lectures / demonstrations. Cancer remains to be one of the dreadful disease in the world. Breast cancer is Second to cancer of cervix. As per the WHO information center -2007 If cervical cancer is the commonest among Indian women, then awareness regarding this cancer should also get priority. But unfortunately the situation in the society is different. We are hardly aware of this dreadful disease. So a need for Rotary to take up this awareness campaign. Objectives: - The Objective of our project is to create awareness regarding the disease amongst the society. To create awareness regarding availability of Vaccine against Human Papilloma Virus that causes this disease. To actually vaccinate women in the society. Methodology: - The awareness will be created by one of the following means: a) Lectures; b) Panel discussions; c) Symposium d) Vaccination drives at the nearby hospitals Outside expertise in the field of gynecology will be roped in to deliver the lectures / panel discussions.
