On 9th july 2012, the day of installation of President Dr Babaji Ghewade and the BOD , a MARUTI OMNI AMBULANCE was donated to Chakreshwar Medical Foundation’s CHAKAN BLOOD BANK, at the hands of District Governor Dr Girish Gune and MLA of Khed Taluka Shri. Dilipsheth Mohite Patil. The major contribution to this project was given by Rtn Dnyaneshwar Mahadeo Satav, Director, Public Relation, in the memory of his Late Father & Ex Sarpanch of Chakan, Shri Mahadeo Balaji Satav. Other contribution to this project was done by Rtn.Dr Babaji Ghewade, President RC Chakan, and Secretary, Rtn Chandrakant Hivarkar. This was the very first project of RC Chakan In this year and done on the day of installation itself. Chakan Blood bank is the first blood bank in this area and serving the need of the society for last two years. Two major highways pass through this area, Pune- Nashik & Talegaon- Shikrapur. Many road traffic accidents occur in this area. Previously many patients lost their lives because of unavailability of blood. Since the beginning of Blood Bank, it has helped to so many patients as well as the hospitals in this area. Considering this work of Chakan Blood Bank, RC Chakan decided to donate an ambulance to this blood bank.
