The Rotary Club of Pune arranged meals for the annual pilgrims of the Ashadhi procession, the Ashadhi wari that travels from Alandi to Pandharpur, two temple towns in Maharasthtra. About one lkha pilgrims walk the stretch over a period of fifteen days in the Hindu months of Vaishakh and reach Padharpur in the month of Ashadh. In this journey, they are fatigued and face some health iissues. They rest for a day in Pune at various places,. One of their resting spots, the KalikaDevi Trust temple in Budhwar Peth Pune is a venue for this project conducted by RCPG. RCPG in association with the KalikaDevi Trust organize lunch, meals and medical camps for these pilgrims, the warkaris every year. This year too, the club orgnanized lunch for 175 warkaris at the Kalika Devi Trust Temple. Members of RCPG, the Kalika Devi Trust and other participated in this project.
