Our Club supports a poor girl Sapna, a school student at the Shishu Vihar Primary School Pune every month for her expensive diabetes treatment. She was referred to the Club President, Rtn. Pramod Bendre by the school teachers who knew her severe health condition. Sapna is a chronic patient of Diabetes Mellitus and her family cannot afford the treatment. Luckily, our honorary club member, Dr. Ramesh Godbole in association with the Diabetes Association of India started sponsoring free medicines worth Rs. 3000 every month for Sapna. This made a great impact on the quality of life of the poor patient whose parents are Low Income Group workers and are so thankful for the support. The news was carried by Rotary News as well as the Diabetic Assn. of India magazine. This is a valuable project for the club.
