As girls and boys get to 13-14 years of age, there are several changes in body, mind and behavior. It is lot more sensitive in girls. Because of this change several other issues also prop up in students related to sanitation, behavioral problems, etc. Many schools have noticed that kids of this age show lot of change impacting their studies. Few girls become very shy, stop coming to school. On other hand, boys get aggressive, start arrogant and unruly activities and becomes dificult to control. In both cases right training, awareness of phsical changes, ways to cope up the change, and avenues to manage (extra or lower) energy levels is must. Seven members including few doctors and educationist got together and prepared a syllabus that addressed students in form of half day workshop. It covered topics mentioned above and explained with help of interesting stories, presentation etc. The team also created a session for teachers on how to handle such issues. Often teachers get angry, scold students and it results in negative impact. so this session was designed to give them ways and tools to handle it.
