The objective of this program is to equip the beneficiary teachers from schools in Pune district with skills to seamlessly integrate technology into their instructions. The teachers will be able to use online resources & tools to improve student engagement & knowledge retention, encourage self learning & collaboration, and help them learn useful life skills. This program uses an innovative method of preparing ‘Master Trainers’ to coach less experienced teachers adopt and integrate active use of technology in their pedagogy. The project identifies and skills 500 beneficiary teachers from schools in urban & semi urban areas of Pune. To train these teachers, 100 ‘Tech Master Trainers’ (committed & motivated teachers from urban schools) were planned to be trained in various aspects of technology integration in pedagogy. Assuming that each teacher teaches his / her subject to 100 students every year, the benefits of technology supported pedagogy will touch approximately (100 + 500) * 100 = 60,000 students every year. Till date, a total of 152 teachers (against a target of 100 Master Trainers) from 43 schools have undergone the 4 - day training to become ‘Tech Master Trainers’. 302 teachers (against a target of 500 teachers) have undergone 1 - day training by these Master Trainers, assisted by our experts, to integrate technology in their pedagogy.
