A grand event was organized by the club to felicitate outstanding Teachers of K A Banthia School and Teachers of Panvel Municipal Corporation Schools. About 13 nominated teachers were felicitated on this occasion. The chief guest for the even was DG Rtn Dr. Shailesh Palekar. This was followed by a 3 hour 'Teachers Training' program. There were 3 sessions conducted. The speaker of the 1st session was Rtn Divakaran Pillai who spoke about 'The Human Factor of being a Teacher'. The second session was by Rtn Pradeep Patil, who also is Director Basic Education and Literacy for Rotary Club of Panvel Midtown. He addressed the 240 strong crowd on the topic of ' Rotary India Literacy Mission Basics of Literacy and Missing Links'. The third session was by Rtn Yogeeta Deshmukh. She spoke about 'Science of Education - How Children Learn' All the sessions were appreciated by the teachers present.
