RC Pune Cantt - Interactors club at Navin Hind High School, today invited 25 local mandals, a Nagar Sevak, an Inspector and appealed to all to practice austerity by coming together and having one mandal instead of multiple, to avoid Bollywood songs and focus on National or devotional songs, to source their idols from eco friendly sites such as paperganesha.com, to lower the decibles of sound, to use their funds for socially relevant work. The response was fantastic and the mandal heads and youth pledged to follow these norms and make changes with immediate effect. The Police promised to resolve their issues and encouraged them to approach them for problem solving matters. The local politicians spoke well on environment friendly schemes and asked the Mandals to work towards social welfare. 5 mandal heads are joining together to have one joint Ganesh Sthapana Mandap in Kashewadi Slums.
