Protecting our frontiers and our country from terrorists and aggressive neighbours is a very difficult task. We often loose our brave personnel from the Army to these cowardly acts of violence. Ensuring our safety is the biggest gift they can give for it often comes with the supreme sacrifice of their lives. RCPL decided to pay our respects to the families, especially the ladies who have lost their near and dear ones to war and insurgency. We will be felicitating Ladies from families of Martyred Soldiers from the Indian Army They are: 1. Vir mata - a brave mother who lost her young son in war. She is now helping to rehabilitate such families whose members have been martyred. 2. Vir bhagini - a lady who sold her ornaments to buy oxygen cylinders for army personnel at Siachen. 3. Vir patni - a lady whose husband was martyred and rewarded posthumously for his brave act. She donated all the money received from the government to start a school which was her late husband's dream.
