Cataract and corneal opacity are two common causes of blindness. The aim of this project is to prevent/cure such blindness through surgeries. This year, the following surgeries have been performed. 1. Cataract surgeries (IOL) - 425 2. Corneal Transplant Surgeries - 200 3. Glaucoma Surgeries - 100 Total Beneficiaries - 725 The beneficiaries were economically backward patients from rural areas around Pune and Jalna District. This has been an ongoing project of our club for the past 20 years, during which over 7500+ patients have benefited.
