Its difficult to believe that very much in Pune there are kids who even don’t know their blood group and have never undergone any proper medical examination in their life. Yes, there are 23 schools and Ashram Shala where 6430 kids stay. These are all tribal from various parts of Pune and around. We, in partnership with FICCI FLO, Maha State Tribal Ministry and Sahyadri Hospital performed these 12 Medical check up Camps at Ghodegaon, Ambegaon, Junnar, Bhor, Satara, Kolhapur based tribal Ashram Shala. Based check up results, about 340 kids were identified with problems in heart, breathing, epilepsy, gyneac problems, hearing and speaking problems, disorders in limbs and did advanced diagnosis tests for these children at Sahyadri Pune. Each child was given proper health record, diagnostic report and suggested treatment. The Ministry of Tribal Welfare will now take those kids to various Gov Hospitals for further treatment. This was we helped these 6000+ kids and their families by identifying health issues in time and facilitated their treatment in line with our focus area Disease Prevention and Treatment. If not done, these kids would have faced serious health complexities. Further, now they have their basic health records, nutritional deficiencies, eye spectacles number, blood group etc identified and recorded which will be handy for any future reference. Project Value = Rs 11 Lakh for 16 camps and medical check up of 6340 students in phase 1. Rs 655000 for advanced diagnostics in Phase 2.
