Summary – 127 pediatric surgeries which saved their life, each surgery costing between Rs 1.5 Lakh to 2 Lakh. 50% funding received from State Gov balance (about 87 Lakh till date) is raised and funded by Pristine. These 127 kids were treated till date completely free of cost and their lives saved. Total Project cost 1.75 Crore. The Biggest Service to Humanity is to Save Life. And this is what exactly this project does. It sponsors cardiac surgeries of little ones who have serious heart problem from birth and saves their life, rather brings smile on their face and hence Mission Muskan. Mission Muskan is a project in partnership with Chief Minister Relief Fund, Maharashtra Gov wherein they pay 50% of operation cost and RCP Pristine takes care of balance. State Gov has signed up with three hospitals in Pune who offer these treatments (7 different types of procedure categories from angioplasty to bypass surgery) at government decided rates. Poor patients (who have Yellow or Orange Ration card) gets treatment (procedure/operation, ICU stay, ward stay, consulting, medicines everything included) completely free of cost. In lower economic strata where mother care is poor during pregnancy and she remains malnourished and no medical service provided, there is likelihood of new born has serious health problems at birth. Having cardiac problems – less growth, improper functioning and pumping, valve malfunctions etc are some of the common problem. As per IMA data, in Pune district itself several thousands of such kids are born every year. they need treatment such as surgery or plasty or interventional procedure to fix the problem. This critical and life saving healthcare is provided via Mission Muskan. Pristine raised the funding via multiple CSR donations, Siddhi Vinayak Temple trust, Have Heart Foundation, Genesis Foundation USA, Mukul Madhav Foundation who donated / sponsored these surgeries. Even our members paid towards few treatments.
