We invited ladies from Sanskar Bharati, a group that teaches traditional Indian games usually played by women folk. The month of Shravan signals the onset of the festive month. Ladies enjoy Mangalagauri games which are typical of this season. Our club decided to break the tradition and include the men from our club as well. They took active part in all the games along with our members, Anns and guests. The group of teachers that came to teach us was delighted to witness this novel sight of men engaging in the traditional Mangalagauri games. Needless to say both the ladies and the men thoroughly enjoyed this unique and special event.
