This is a global grant project (GG1757932) started last year and will be completed this year. Constructing watershed and repairing of wells will ensure availability of water for drinking and farming purposes throughout the year in one of the most neglected tribal village of Ambegaon Taluka of Maharashtra, India covering Jaywadi, Malwadi, Kalewadi. Awalewadi, Ghodewadi and Bawarchiwadi helmets We propose to build watershed on 30 ha. land The construction of watersheds and plantations will raise groundwater level and prevent unhurdled run off of rain water and subsequently soil loss. we had already signed the initial NOC from all land owners of each hamlet to build the watersheds on their land and and a MOU with gram Panchayat on behalf of six hamlets of Borghar for proposed construction of watersheds and well repairing, the work started at five hamlets in March 2018. The rainwater saved by this project will thus be available throughout the year to provide fodder and biomass to the community and increase the number of crops in a year. The community will have a dependable source of drinking water throughout the year. Project started on 01/02/2018
