NID POLIO DROP DRIVE was conducted on 10th March 2019 in Western Pune, Maharashtra India by Rotary Club of Pune Sports City 30 booths were set up across different locations in Aundh, Baner, Balewadi and Chakan with the help of local government dispensaries.Two mobile vans were also pressed into service. Polio drops were administered from 8.00 am to 5pm by medical officers , medical staff, Rotarians, Rotaractors and Anns. In Chakan the drive was carried out at Rural Hospital. On 11th March the drive continued door to door in the Vasahats (local community dwelling of the poor) to ensure coverage to those kids who has missed out the drops on 10th March. This increased the impact of the project. Totally 2000+ children were immunized. Totally 150 volunteers were involved. Rotaractors of Mitcon and students of ITI Aundh were also involved .
