Rotary 3131 - Project Details

17-03-2019 - 17-03-2019

Travelling on a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler machine is a very common thing for students studying in urban areas. However, some of the school-going students, living in rural and tribal areas, having the desire to acquire knowledge, have to struggle week in and week out to even make their way to the school. These students have to walk 4-5 km daily to reach their school. In order to lend a helping hand to make their journey of acquiring knowledge relatively easier, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite donated 10 cycles to students staying in tribal villages near Pen, Maharashtra on 17th March 2019. Rotary Club of Panvel Elite collected unused and abandoned cycles from their own housing societies, people living in nearby vicinities and others who were willing to donate cycles which they no longer needed. These cycles were then repaired to an extent of being usable and were then donated to the students of the aforementioned villages.
