Ekalavya Nyasa is an NGO run by Renutai Gavaskar for destitute like children of sex workers,Alcoholic and single parents.Rotary Club of Pune Shivajinagar interacted with Ekalavya Nyasa to bring their children into main stream society and help their future. RCPS arranged the grocery for the entire students for this year along with their birthday celebration.All the students were provided 2 sets of uniforms.The Anns from RCPS got frocks for the girls.worth Rs 36000/.Every Tuesday and Wednesday, RCPS members have taught Mathematics and English to the students for the entire year which has enhanced their confidence which can be judged by their performance in exam.Our club participated in organising festivals like Independence Day,Ganapati,Diwali and Anand bazar for enhancing their skills.Ganapati Idol making workshop was taken for some students to enhance their Psycho motor skills. The children were escorted to Raja Kelkar Museum where they enjoyed thevaried collection.An acting workshop was conducted for 18 studentsand these students eventually presented a skit on the Ekankika Competition platform. All these activities helped the children to gain confidence while dealing with mainstreamof the society.The club has spent Rs528151/for this project. Beneficiaries are 1305,volunteer hours 305,Rotarians 53,Anns 35 have worked for this project.
